He waves her over and she runs quickly to examine her friend, looking him up and down as if she’d just found him again and wanted to make sure all the parts were in place. The young man looks around, equally as perplexed as she is and almost surprised to find himself in the forest. He looks at the stranger kneeling next to him and then to her: Karuna, what happened?

Karuna: Oh Danny, you were bitten and then this man came along and…

They both look at him and he asks a question, pointing towards the three bodies off to one side: You killed these?
