scoops of soup he writes the list of actions they were going to both take. Dylan waits for him to finish, refilling his bowl with another scoop of stew. Steve hands him the notepad and refills his own bowl. Dylan reads the list slowly: WE BEGIN WHEN IT GETS DARK

His eyes dart across the words on the page and he squints as he reads something he doesn’t understand. Then reads it again.

Steve looks at him for a second confused at the question. He hadn’t exactly said this word to anyone before though so points to the two other remnants of humanity in the room.
