On the pharmacy rooftop Tommy is taking a pee over the edge and down onto the street below. He was woken up by the first screams of the day, like roosters crowing at the sunrise. Sarah and Brian are still sleeping, and he entertains himself by spelling out his name on the pavement. The explosion Steve just triggered catches him by surprise and flinching, he ruins the final part of the underline and looks back down in disappointment.

As the plume of black smoke begins to rise up into the air it’s quickly followed by a series of screams. Gangs of zombies begin to stream out from the streets around them and towards the blast site. He can hear Sarah and Brian fumble their way out of the tent behind him and he looks through the rifle scope to try to see what’s happening. Sarah joins him first: What was that?
