Now and again I get a visitor, somebody dropping by to use the place to lay low or get some R&R. They don’t say much, just take what they need and leave. Like a ghost.

It’s a small town in the west of Ireland with a small population. Small enough to only have one police officer posted here part time who spends most of his shift asleep. Small enough to have a train roll right past on its way to somewhere else, but no station. No need, nobody was coming or going anywhere.
