The camera focuses in on the officer who now seems to be awake and alert. The crowd just passes him by, as if oblivious to his presence, and pay him no attention as he sits up and tries to come to his senses. The young reporter regains her composure and continues, confused by the scene:

Lucy: Ladies and Gentlemen what we are witnessing is very strange, in case you’ve just tuned in, an officer of the metropolitan police was dragged from the police lines into the crowd and beaten unconscious.He now seems to have recovered from his ordeal and climbed to his feet unaided. The rioters are paying no attention to him whatsoever and he is just standing there looking at his hands and at the others around him.

His face is covered in blood from… hold
