He gets up slowly, careful not to wake Sarah who has finally fallen asleep, and walks to the edge of the roof. The streets are totally quiet. Brian joins him, quietly walking up to stand by his side.

Brian: Hey, can’t sleep no?

Tommy: Nah, you?

Brian: No, too much to think about.

Tommy: Yeah, I wonder why it’s so quiet. Do you think they are asleep?

Brian just shrugs and flicks his eyebrows. There is a moment of silence between them before Brian enquires:

Brian: Why you wanna make a run for it?

Tommy: Well, I would but, you know. Obviously we can’t all run so far.
