under it again, breathes heavily, pushing the air out in short bursts as he readies himself for the heavier weight. He places his hands where he usually held the bar, locks his feet in place and adjusts his shoulders on the bench to make sure he lifts with proper form.
Ten more reps flow smoothly and with nice control and he rests the bar down onto the forks slowly, making sure to position it correctly. He stands up from the bench to examine the weight. He’s never done more than 5 reps at that weight before and counts the plates again to make sure he was not fooling himself. 160kg. Just as he thought. Ok, a bit weird… kinda cool though.
He looks at his arms and touches his chest with his fingers, poking it to feel the muscle. It feels dense
