He needed to vent. Each round representing the screams of horror still loud in his mind as the thoughts of them biting into his wife’s flesh take over.

Steve leaves him to it, nodding his head in agreement, and surveys the situation by looking through his scope towards the open motorway. Their plan to make a run for it is quickly dashed as he spots a second swarm approaching from the opposite direction. The nose must be drawing them in and he shakes his head as he thinks to himself: Damn it. These idiots are going to get me killed… Again!
