illusion that we were “civilised” because our shiny trinkets had electricity in them. But it was all a mirage, a shield so you didn’t have to look at yourself in the mirror and see how messed up you really were.

The elephant needed training, its habits and modes needed to be guided and moulded overtime so that when there was a stampede from the rest of the herd, like now, you could hold steady and calm and not trample over everything.

I chose to remove the blindfold though. I trained my elephant. And for that I was the crazy one? How does it look now?

His experiment to clear his mind had only made him more irritated. But at least he was feeling more “normal” - More like himself.
