He laughs at his own attempt to make a joke and flicks forward to another empty page. He’ll write another entry. These little seeds of thought were like a nice way to unwind and always seemed to trigger something else later on. He takes the pen back up and writes:

I’m glad Twitter or Facebook isn’t the main distraction for the “humans” now, they actually have to talk. The world hasn’t changed much for the majority though, digital zombies counting their connections, their bonds to other fake humans as some sort of status in a fake online society.

The mentality transferred nicely to the meat sacks running around now. The transition was probably easy for a lot of them in that case. Probably why I was able to reject it so quickly.
